Chris Sciarrino
Chris Sciarrino is the Director of Curriculum and Product Development for HighReach Learning, providing guidance and leadership in creating easy-to-use curriculum tools grounded in emergent curriculum development for children birth to five years of age. The theories and beliefs she holds about the unique developmental needs of young children are highlighted in the HighReach Learning publication Reaching and Relating: A Guide for Early Learning Programs, which she co-authored. Chris brings over 20 years of early childhood field experience, including program development, administration, and university teaching expertise. Her participation on a Denver Early Head Start research program team led to the project’s continuous improvement model being highlighted as a national example in the Early Head Start research study. She has extensive experience developing and presenting trainings for early childhood professionals as well as developing community training and professional development and coaching models. She has also authored a child development curriculum for home use for children birth to five years of age, Bubbles, Balls, and a Basket of Books. Ms. Sciarrino holds a Master's Degree in Child Development and Family Studies from Kent State University. She is passionate about bridging theory and practice in order to meet the unique developmental needs of young children and families and the staff who serve them. She is dedicated to continually striving to see “Through the Eyes of a Child.”
Jenn Siegfried
Jenn Siegfried is the Pre-K education manager at HighReach Learning. Jenn’s work at HighReach includes development oversight of Curriculum for Threes, Curriculum for Pre-K, and the Passports curricula, as well as management of government relations initiatives and regulatory compliance. She is also the co-author of Reaching and Relating: A Guide for Early Learning Programs as well as author and co-author of numerous training materials used across the United States and internationally. Over her 15 years in education, Jenn has taught and cared for preschoolers, elementary, middle, and high school children in public, private, and homeschool programs, allowing her to develop a thorough understanding of children’s development from birth through the teen years. Jenn has also worked in curriculum development for the Weather Channel, National Geographic, and the Audubon Society for children of all ages, been a teacher mentor and trainer, and has a passion for bringing learning alive for students of all ages. Jenn holds a Master’s Degree in Teacher Leadership from the University of New Hampshire.
